About Us

We are a quirky little design brand making lovely things, by hand and with some clever 'kit, using natural materials sometime right off the beach here on the croft.  Based on the Scottish island of Lismore. Seahorse is small family business, set up by Designer Nicky Lewis and now run by Simon alongside a bit of sheep farming on this island croft.

We design and create in wood, paper, stone and china all from our base here on the Isle of Lismore off the wild coast of north Argyll.

We are passionate about great looking design, and about making things here on the island, right here in our workshop. Working in a lovely but isolated place, jobs are few and far between and Seahorse is committed to providing local employment whenever we can. 

From ceramics to chalkboards, and everything in between we love to personalise items for you, to help evoke memories and tell little stories, or to include thoughtful or secret messages to make a purchase truly personal.
